For LO206, the current low profile mount and latest from odenthal. The latest Odenthal LO206 mount is the Code Red one-piece low profile. Choose clamp size and order it here:
LO206 Code Red One-Piece Low Profile Engine Mount

That Code Red mount sits about 1.5 inches lower than the old 8-degree plate-style mount, drops rotating and chassis mass versus a slider, and is the version we put under a new LO206.

This EZ-Set kit comes with I30 and K28 clamps. I30 covers 30mm x 92mm rails. K28 covers 28mm x 90mm rails. That pair covers most of the chassis we see in the shop, including common 30mm I-type frames and 28mm K-type frames.

A solid engine mount is the foundation of a clean LO206 install. The Odenthal Racing Products EZ-Set Four Cycle Motor Mount Kit sets the Briggs engine on the rails at a consistent angle so the chain stays aligned, the clutch drum stays square, and you are not fighting a flexing plate in the middle of a session.

Precision 4-Cycle Mount for Briggs LO206

Generic mounts flex under load and let the engine walk. That shows up as chain wear, a moving clutch line, and a kart that changes feel as the weekend goes on. The Odenthal EZ-Set base and slider lock the geometry. The base stays on the rails. The slider lets you set chain tension and engine position without pulling the whole mount off the kart.

If you are building a new LO206 and want the newest low-profile package, go to the Code Red page linked above and pick your clamp size there. Use this EZ-Set page when you want the two-piece 8-degree kit with I30 and K28 clamps included.

Built to stay tight

The plates are CNC-machined from billet aluminum. That is what keeps the engine from shaking the chain line loose on a bumpy track. Check clamp and mount bolt torque before every session. Kart vibration will walk hardware if you ignore it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which mount should I buy for a new LO206?

A: Buy the current low profile Code Red one-piece. It is the most recent Odenthal LO206 mount we sell. Order it here: https://swiftkarting.com/products/lo206-code-red-one-piece-engine-mount

Q: What clamps come with this EZ-Set kit?

A: This kit includes I30 and K28 clamps. I30 is 30mm tubing on 92mm rail spacing. K28 is 28mm tubing on 90mm rail spacing.

Q: Is this mount compatible with all kart chassis?

A: It fits most standard 4-cycle rail chassis when the clamp size matches the tube diameter and rail spacing. Measure tube OD and I-type (92mm) vs K-type (90mm) before you order. If you need a size other than I30 or K28, use the Code Red page and select that clamp there.

Q: Why is the 8-degree angle used on the Briggs LO206?

A: The 8-degree upper keeps the LO206 carb closer to level in the chassis. That helps fuel stay consistent in the bowl through corners and acceleration.

Q: How does the EZ-Set system make chain tensioning easier?

A: Loosen the slider bolts and move the engine forward or back to set chain slack. You do not have to pull the base off the rails to make that change.

Q: Does this kit include the hardware needed for installation?

A: Yes. It includes the mount hardware plus I30 and K28 clamps.

Q: How often should I check the mounting bolts?

A: Check torque on the mount bolts and clamps before every track session. Vibration will loosen hardware if you skip it.
