Complete Driveline Systems for 4-Cycle Karting

In low-horsepower racing like LO206 and Clone, driveline efficiency is free horsepower. A binding chain, a worn sprocket, or a dragging clutch can cost you tenths of a second per lap. We stock high-performance clutches, chains, gears, and hubs designed to transfer every bit of power from your crankshaft to the rear tires.

Racing Clutches

Hilliard, Stinger, & Noram. We carry the best centrifugal clutches for 4-cycle engines, plus tuning springs and weights to dial in your engagement.

Chains & Breakers

#35 & #219 Pitch. High-tensile racing chains (Gold/Space) that resist stretching. Don't forget a Chain Breaker tool!

Gears & Sprockets

Split Sprockets & Drivers. Quick-change aluminum split gears allow you to change ratios in seconds without removing the axle.

The Big Debate: #35 vs. #219 Pitch

Most LO206 and 4-cycle racers must choose a chain size. Your clutch driver must match your rear sprocket.

  • #35 Chain: The standard for US club racing. It is robust, affordable, and resists derailing on bumpy tracks. (Tooth counts are smaller, e.g., 15T Driver / 58T Rear).
  • #219 Chain: Common in 2-cycle and some LO206 classes. It is lighter, runs smoother, and offers finer gear ratio adjustments. (Tooth counts are higher, e.g., 19T Driver / 74T Rear).
⚠️ Maintenance Tip: Alignment is Key

Chain alignment must be perfect. If your rear sprocket isn't perfectly inline with the clutch driver, you will throw chains and overheat your clutch. Use a straight edge or laser alignment tool every time you move the engine.

Gear Ratio Tuning

Changing your rear sprocket size is the easiest way to tune for a specific track.
Larger Rear Sprocket: Better acceleration (Corner exit), lower top speed.
Smaller Rear Sprocket: Higher top speed (Long straights), slower acceleration.
We recommend carrying a range of split sprockets (e.g., 58-64 for #35 chain) to adapt to track conditions.
