Brake fluid is the incompressible hydraulic liquid that transmits pedal force to the calipers in a kart braking system. Typical DOT 4 glycol-ether fluids are hygroscopic and must meet a minimum dry boiling point of 230 C and a wet boiling point of 155 C under FMVSS 116.
