About MC Engines and Swift Karts | LO206 Racing Engines
About MC Engines and Swift Karts
Located just south of Indianapolis right off the I-65 Whiteland exit, MC Engines and Swift Karts is a full service karting and engine building shop focused on customer service, performance, precision, and reliability.
SwiftKarting.com was built for racers and families who want parts that fit right, hold up, and show up on time. We come from a building and fixing background, so we look at kart parts the same way we look at any job, the right quality and the right fit for the application matters. We have bought low quality, ill fitting parts before, learned the hard way, and we still live by the same rule today, quality counts.
Our Story
The shop is owned and operated by Mark Cerk, a machinist and racer with more than twenty five years of karting experience. Mark began racing in the Midwest and quickly developed a passion for precision engine building and chassis development. Today, his engines and karts compete and win across the United States and Canada.
We do not budge on workmanship. If it is not done right, it is not done, simple as that. The same goes for the tools and equipment behind the work, good quality tools are essential to getting good quality results. That mindset carries into everything we sell and recommend, because small details are what separate a clean weekend from a frustrating one.
One of the biggest lessons we learned in karting is that overdriving the kart does not give you the results you want. Pay attention to the basics, do the work, stay consistent, and the results follow.
What Sets Us Apart
Every engine that leaves our shop is built in house, blueprinted, dyno tuned, and tested using real track data. We have invested in professional level tools including a flow bench for carburetor and head testing, a frame straightening table, an engine dyno, and precision measuring instruments for valve and cam work. This ensures that each build meets the highest performance standards for LO206 competition.
Complete In House Capabilities
Our services go beyond engine work. MC Engines and Swift Karts offers chassis fabrication, frame and axle straightening, valve installation, clutch and carburetor blueprinting, and TIG and MIG welding. We also provide custom machining on our lathe and end mill, along with full chassis setup and alignment.
How We Run the Shop
My wife Sue is the calm in the storm. Racing and business can get hectic, and she keeps things grounded. When I need to reset, Iโm usually outside gardening. It reminds me that the attention you give is what produces the results you want to see, and there is real pride in doing it right and watching it grow. We also have two dogs, one is especially chill and keeps the vibe steady around the place.
Two things that have always bugged me buying parts elsewhere are price gouging and bad customer service, so we do the opposite. You will get personal attention here. If you have a question, you are not just a number, we are here to help, and we care about passing this sport to the next generation.
When we pack orders, the goal is straightforward, pack it properly, complete it correctly, and get it out the door the way we would want it to arrive for our own program.
Proven on Track
Our engines and karts are tested on local and national circuits, including Kart Racers of America at New Castle Motorsports Park, Indy Karting Challenge at K1 Circuit Whiteland, OVKA at G and J Kartway in Ohio, and the PRO AM Karting Championship in Cincinnati. With access to a track only a few minutes from our shop, we are able to continually test and refine our builds. Huge finishes in the 2025 season, and we were right there fighting for the win at the CKNA LO206 Grand Nationals.

Built by Racers for Racers
My favorite kart memory is my first win. The adrenaline rush is like no other. You work hard, it pays off, itโs rewarding, and it can get pretty emotional. Those are the moments that keep you learning, improving, and showing up.
Whether you are just entering LO206 racing or competing at the top of your series, MC Engines and Swift Karts provides the knowledge, experience, and craftsmanship that serious racers depend on. Our goal is simple, build equipment that wins and support every driver who trusts our work.
