Jayden Mohamed swept the LO206 Cadet class at the Need for Speed Karting Championship in Georgetown, Guyana, June 19-20, 2026. They raced for a $25,000 purse weekend with GuyanaKarting.com. Same Whiteland build process. Different hemisphere.

Our Story

Swift Karting, LLC operates MC Engines and Swift Karts from 4957 N Hurricane Rd, Franklin, Indiana 46131, next to the Whiteland / I-65 corridor. Owner Mark Cerk is a machinist and racer with more than twenty five years in Midwest karting. He builds the engines, welds and aligns the Swift chassis, and still treats every motor like it has to survive tech and a long feature.

Workmanship is not negotiable. If it is not done right, it is not done. That applies to valve work, frame alignment, packing an order, and answering a parent who is new to LO206. Overdriving a kart does not fix a sloppy setup. Pay attention to the basics, measure the work, stay consistent, and the results follow.

LO206 Engine Builder in Indiana

MC Engines is the Briggs & Stratton LO206 engine builder inside Swift Karting. We do not unbox a crate and ship it. Every LO206 that leaves Whiteland is built in house for the class it will race: Kid Kart, Cadet, Junior, or Adult.

As a Cadet LO206 builder, youth slides get the same process as a national Adult program. Cam profile, carb flow, valve work, and clutch engagement are matched to the slide, the racing weight, and the home track. Cadet racing rewards engines that pull off the corner, stay consistent heat after heat, and still feel the same on Sunday morning.

What happens on the bench:

• Every cam is measured and selected inside the legal LO206 range for class, weight, and track.
• Head and carb are flow bench checked and matched before they go on the motor.
• Valve work and deck height are set for seal and chamber volume inside the Briggs rulebook.
• The finished engine is dyno tested in Whiteland before it is packed.
• After you order, we send a short questionnaire so the build is set to your class and track, not a generic 206.

What Sets Us Apart

Most 206 engine builders assemble. We measure. The shop runs a flow bench for carburetor and head testing, an engine dyno for verification, a frame straightening table, and precision tools for valve and cam work. That is the difference between a motor that looks finished and a motor that has a number on it.

We also build the kart. Swift Karts chassis are designed, welded, and aligned in house for LO206 momentum racing. Engine work and chassis work sit in the same building, which is why setup questions get a real answer instead of a parts list.

Shop Services

MC Engines and Swift Karts is a full service kart shop, not only an engine counter. A large part of the work is flow benching carburetors and heads, plus ultrasonic carburetor cleaning, so the parts that go on an LO206 are clean, consistent, and measured before they race.

How We Run the Shop

My wife Sue is the calm in the storm. Racing and business can get hectic, and she keeps things grounded. When I need to reset, I am usually outside gardening. It reminds me that the attention you give is what produces the results you want to see. We also have two dogs. One is especially chill and keeps the vibe steady around the place.

Two things that have always bugged me buying parts elsewhere are price gouging and bad customer service, so we do the opposite. You get quality quick support. We care about passing this sport to the next generation, which is why Cadet and Junior programs get the same bench time as Adult.

When we pack orders, the goal is simple. Pack it properly, complete it correctly, and get it out the door the way we would want it to arrive for our own program. The shop is open by appointment, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
