LO206 Dyno Chart Black Slide for Data and Gearing
Understanding your LO206 dyno chart is the key to matching gear ratio, rpm, and tire size to the real power curve. When you know exactly where the torque and horsepower peak, you can gear the kart to live in the strongest part of the curve instead of guessing.
Use this black slide dyno image as a reference inside your data acquisition sessions. Overlay the dyno rpm points with your Race Studio channels so you can see where the engine is on the curve at turn in, apex, and exit. This makes it much easier to tune gearing for clean acceleration and top speed without falling off the power.
In Race Studio formulas you can combine the dyno rpm values with speed, gear ratio, and rollout to create repeatable gearing math instead of going by feel. Click the image to open the full size version, save it into your laptop, and use it when you are building custom math channels and optimizing LO206 gear ratios.
