LO206 Carb Flow Bench Service – Professional High Flow Carburetor Testing & CFM Optimization
Highly recommended performance gain
We know there is more in this carb than the cam profile. Every dyno and every simulator confirms the LO206 is air-starved across the entire torque window. Marginal gains is the name of the game, and this is one of the largest "marginal" gains available on this engine. Upsell yourself.. your competitors already have.
This is where the most time is spent on any LO206 build. These engines are AIR STARVED. No matter the weather or the class, and it’s even worse on green and red slide carbs. If you want real results on the track, this is exactly where I would start. We do real ABA testing on every single carb.
Our LO206 carb flow bench service is built around one simple truth.. the factory carburetor is the biggest restriction on these engines. By properly testing and optimizing your carb on a professional flow bench, we increase the CFM (cubic feet per minute) of airflow it can deliver. More CFM means your engine can actually breathe.. pulling in more air and oxygen for better combustion. That directly translates to stronger low-end torque, a fatter mid-range pull, and more peak horsepower without any other expensive engine work.
Improving airflow isn’t just about raw numbers.. it’s about creating a stronger, more efficient draft through the carburetor’s venturi. A higher-flowing carb generates better vacuum (draft), which pulls more air into the engine and atomizes the fuel more effectively. This results in improved throttle response, reduced bogging off the corners, a broader and smoother torque curve, and noticeably more usable power across the entire RPM range.
In addition to comprehensive air flow testing, we also measure fuel flow at various throttle positions and RPM points. This dual testing gives us a complete picture of your carburetor’s performance, ensuring the increased air flow is properly matched with accurate fuel delivery for optimal air/fuel ratios.
A high-flow carb is critical on the LO206 because everything else you do (cams, pipes, heads) is limited by how much air gets through the carb in the first place. Stock carbs are restrictive by design. Once you open up that airflow with proven CFM gains, the engine wakes up and the power curve flattens out in all the right places. Racers who skip this step are literally leaving free speed on the table.
How many carbs are you sending in?
How it works
We use a paired ABA reversal protocol (sometimes called ABA back-to-back testing). We measure your carb (A), measure our calibrated baseline carb (B), then re-measure your carb (A) again. The reversal cancels out any bench drift so the numbers we publish are 100% the real difference between the two carbs. Every test ends with a full re-setup of the bench.
What you receive
A shared document with low RPM, mid-range RPM, and high RPM flow numbers (in CFM) for every carb we test, plus detailed fuel flow data. We also confirm the bench deltas actually hold up on a real motor head (or our dummy head) before we sign off. You’ll see exactly how many CFM you gained at each RPM range and how well the fuel delivery matches so you know what to expect on the track.
Logistics
If you have multiple carbs sitting at the shop, ship them all at once. The more carbs we can run back-to-back in a single session, the better the data. Just email support@swiftkarting.com when you ship so we know they’re on the way. If the flow bench was paid, we wait until everything you listed has arrived so we can test the whole batch together.
NDA
Flow bench service requires you to sign a simple NDA. You agree that Swift Karting, LLC owns all data and results from the tests and that the results will not be shared or posted publicly.
