VP PowerWash^™ is a super concentrated, dual-action detergent built for motorsports, powersports, and race equipment. On a kart it suspends dirt, rubber dust, chain lube smear, and grease so they rinse off instead of smearing across the bodywork. Use it after practice and race days on sidepods, noses, Nassau panels, floors, stands, wheels, and the trailer.

Kart racing leaves a different mess than a street car. You get black rubber film on the pods, oil mist around the LO206, chain lube on the rail, and grit packed into the floor pan. PowerWash is made to float that off without leaving streaks on plastic bodywork or a soapy film on aluminum. Mix only what you need for the session. A little concentrate goes a long way in a pump sprayer or wash bucket.

For LO206 and other 4-cycle karts, wash the kart, not the engine internals. Wet the bodywork and chassis, spray the mix, agitate the dirty spots, and rinse. Keep water out of the air filter, carb slide, coil, pulse fittings, and catch can. Cover the intake and kill switch before you spray. Dry the kart, then lube the chain. Do not put a soaked air filter back on a sealed 206 and expect it to idle the same.

Use it on more than the kart. It works on the stand, gear bag zippers, wheel racks, pit boards, and the film that builds on the trailer ramp after a weekend of loading dirty karts. Rinse thoroughly. Wipe plastic panels dry if you are laying new numbers or sponsor graphics the same day.

How to use on a kart

• Let the engine cool. Cover the air filter and intake.
• Mix per the label in a pump sprayer or bucket. Start milder than you think. You can always add more concentrate.
• Spray bodywork, floor, rails, and wheels. Stay off the carb mouth, filter, and electrical connectors.
• Agitate rubber film and chain lube with a soft brush. Do not grind grit into the plastic.
• Rinse from the top down. Keep the kart pointed so water runs off the engine, not into it.
• Dry the kart. Relube the chain. Check the catch can and pulse line before the next session.

FAQ

Q: Can I use VP PowerWash on an LO206 kart?
A: Yes, on the bodywork, chassis, wheels, and stand. Keep the mix off the air filter, carb opening, coil, and pulse fittings. A sealed 206 does not like a bath.

Q: Will it remove tire rubber from sidepods?
A: It lifts light rubber dust and track film. Heavy, baked-on tire rubber is a different job. Use a dedicated rubber or adhesive remover for caked rubber, then wash with PowerWash.

Q: Is it safe on vinyl numbers and sponsor graphics?
A: Used as directed and rinsed off, it is meant for race bodywork and vinyl. Do not let a strong mix dry on fresh graphics. Test a small corner if the vinyl is old or peeling.

Q: Can I spray the engine?
A: Wipe the tin and mount. Do not pressure-wash the LO206. Water in the filter or carb will make the engine idle rich, surge, or refuse to start. Cover the intake first.

Q: What dilution should I use after a race weekend?
A: Follow the bottle. For a typical sprint weekend, a light mix in a pump sprayer handles bodywork. Use a stronger mix only on the floor pan, stand, and greasy chain-side rail.

Q: Do I need this if I already have dish soap?
A: Dish soap can leave a film and does not cut rubber dust and chain lube as well. PowerWash is built to suspend that motorsport dirt so it rinses instead of smearing.

Q: Should I wash the kart before I practice, or only after?
A: Wash after the day so grit and lube do not sit on the plastic and rails. A clean kart is also easier to inspect for cracks, loose body clips, and leaking fuel or oil.

Q: Can I use it on the helmet and visor?
A: No. Use a helmet and visor cleaner made for those surfaces. PowerWash is for the kart, stand, and trailer.

Q: What should I do after rinsing?
