This shield retention pivot kit is the hardware that lets the clear visor on your kart helmet flip up and down like a sun visor. It includes two black plastic plates (one with the two small coil springs already seated in their slots), two steel springs, and four Phillips head screws that secure the assembly to the sides of the helmet.
After a few seasons of use or a hard off-track moment these parts stretch and wear, leaving the shield loose so it chatters in the wind or drops at the wrong time. A fresh kit brings back the tight spring-loaded detents that hold the Z-19 shield firmly in the down position at speed and let it lift cleanly when you pit or clean your visor.
