MyChron 6 Kart Data Logger | Live Delta, IMU, GPS | Single Temp Lead + Data Session
MyChron 6 Kart Data Logger | Live Delta, IMU, GPS | Single Temp Lead + Data Session
Couldn't load pickup availability
MyChron 6 Data Logger with a selectable temperature lead and an included 30-minute remote data acquisition session.
The MyChron 6 is chosen by racers who want more than lap times. Compared to the MyChron 5 and 5S, it is a major step forward in usability, real-time feedback, and the quality of data available to the driver. Features like the live delta bar, wider high-resolution screen, 6-axis IMU, Bluetooth connectivity, and 25Hz GPS change how performance is evaluated and improved.
Your selectable temperature lead integrates directly into the MyChron 6 ecosystem, allowing engine temperature data to be reviewed alongside delta time, chassis movement, RPM usage, and lap-to-lap consistency.
Why MyChron 6 data is more useful than MyChron 5
- Live Delta Bar Display – Real-time visual feedback showing gains and losses versus your best lap while driving, not just after the session.
- Wider High-Resolution Screen – A cleaner layout with improved readability of RPM, splits, warnings, and critical metrics at speed.
- 20-Hour Internal Battery – Approximately double the runtime of the MyChron 5, with modern USB-C charging.
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Connectivity – Faster data transfers and support for Bluetooth devices such as heart rate monitors.
- 6-Axis IMU – Accelerometer and gyroscope data provide insight into cornering forces, pitch, and roll.
- Integrated track database – Over 4,000 tracks worldwide, making first-time visits and layout changes easier to manage.
- 25Hz GPS – High-precision GPS improves speed, position, and delta accuracy across the lap.
- Configurable LEDs and warnings – 8 RGB backlights, 2 alarm LEDs, and 5 RGB shift LEDs (configurable by gear) improve visibility and reduce guesswork.
How a temperature channel fits into MyChron 6 analysis
Because the MyChron 6 captures driver inputs and chassis behavior in real time, temperature becomes a supporting layer that helps explain why lap times change over a run.
- Cylinder head temperature (CHT)
- Exhaust gas temperature (EGT)
- Water temperature on water-cooled engines
Temperature trends can be reviewed against lap delta, RPM usage, and driving behavior to identify heat-related performance loss, setup sensitivity, or consistency issues that are not obvious from lap time alone.
What you can learn in the included 30-minute data session
The included 30-minute remote MyChron 6 data acquisition session does not need to be used for basic setup. It can be used at any level, from first-time review to advanced driver analysis. Many customers start with the included session, then add more time once they see how much clarity the data provides.

Most basic and first priority
- Confirming the track map is correct when running a new or alternate layout
- Validating GPS alignment and lap detection accuracy, including start and finish placement
- Understanding what the delta bar is showing and how to use it during a session
Second most important things to review
- Lap consistency and repeatability, identifying laps that are fast but not repeatable
- RPM usage across the lap and down the straights, verifying you are in the correct range
- Temperature trends over short and long runs, identifying when performance falls off
More advanced topics that can be covered

- Corner-by-corner delta analysis to locate specific time loss, and which corners matter most
- How driver inputs affect chassis behavior using IMU data, including stability and rotation trends
- Temperature behavior relative to driving style and gearing, spotting when the kart is being over-driven
- Session overlays and comparisons inside Race Studio 3, including setup change validation
This session can be entirely analysis-focused, even for experienced racers who already know how to operate the device.
Why racers choose additional data acquisition time
The included 30 minutes is often enough to identify where time is being lost. Additional data acquisition time is what turns those findings into repeatable improvements over a full race weekend and across a season.
- 2 hours – Ideal for two full reviews, deeper overlays, and clear priorities for your next run.
- 4 hours – Best for multi-session comparison, validating setup changes, and building consistency as conditions change.
- 8 hours – Designed for multi-session development, advanced analysis, and structured driver improvement. Use it as needed on race weekends or after the weekend for deeper review.
Extended sessions allow time for RPM histogram review, gearing efficiency analysis, custom math channels, and deeper comparison work. Remote sessions can also be scheduled while you are at the track, giving teams access to professional-level analysis without carrying a full-time data engineer.
Compatibility
- AiM MyChron 6
- AiM MyChron 6 2T
What’s included
- MyChron 6 data logger
- Selectable temperature lead
- Battery charger with cable
- RPM cable
- USB-C charging cable
- AiM sticker
- 30-minute remote data acquisition session
- Pre-track setup guidance if needed
Note: After checkout, you will be contacted to schedule your included session. If you already have MyChron 6 data files available, having them ready will help maximize the time. If not, we can use reference data or focus on device setup and optimization.
Predictive split-time LED feedback
The MyChron 6 can display predictive lap time using the LED bar at custom split points. As you cross each split, the LEDs update to show time gained (green) or time lost (red) versus your reference lap. This gives the driver immediate, intuitive feedback without needing to look down at numbers.
Recommended sensors to unlock more advanced MyChron 6 data (optional)
The MyChron 6 is extremely powerful on its own, but adding the right sensors unlocks a deeper level of analysis. These upgrades are useful for experienced drivers chasing fine margins and for newer drivers where driver feedback is still developing.
You can achieve strong results using only the MyChron 6. These sensors provide the next layer of clarity when you are ready to dig deeper.
Front Wheel MPH Sensor (highly recommended)
Front Wheel MPH Sensor for MyChron 6
The front wheel speed sensor is one of the most valuable upgrades you can add. It measures true vehicle speed independent of engine RPM, allowing you to diagnose kart performance even when driver feedback is limited.
- True entry, mid-corner, and exit speed
- Rolling speed loss through corners
- Acceleration efficiency versus RPM
- Gear ratio effectiveness using speed versus RPM
- Brake drag and coast-down losses
This sensor alone is often enough to uncover the next few tenths and is a favorite tool for both advanced drivers and developing racers.
Infrared Tire Temperature Sensor Kit
Infrared Tire Temperature Sensor Kit
Infrared tire temperature sensors add visibility into how the kart is loading each tire throughout the lap. Instead of guessing balance changes, you can see how driving style and setup affect tire usage.
- Inside versus outside tire temperature balance
- Corner-specific tire loading trends
- Chassis balance evaluation
- Driving style impact on tire heat
- Tire performance degradation over a run
Infrared Tire Temperature Mounting Kit (required)
Infrared Tire Temperature Sensor Mounting Kit
This mounting kit is required to correctly position the infrared sensors. Proper mounting ensures accurate, repeatable temperature readings that can be trusted for tuning decisions.
When combined with GPS, RPM, IMU data, and wheel speed, these sensors enable advanced Race Studio 3 analysis such as:
- RPM histogram based gear ratio optimization
- Speed versus RPM efficiency zones
- Corner entry and exit speed deltas
- Acceleration and deceleration efficiency
- Tire temperature change rate versus speed
These tools turn raw data into clear answers, whether you are refining a competitive setup or learning how the kart responds under different conditions.
