Fit and use
Ensure the socks are not too tight so they maintain full protection and remain comfortable under race conditions. The neck, wrists, and ankles must stay covered by at least two layers of protective clothing at all times. Protective clothing may not safeguard against all potential hazards encountered in racing.
The balaclava and top underlayer must overlap by a minimum of 3 cm around the neck except at the front center line where the overlap is 8 cm. The top and bottom underlayers must overlap by a minimum of 7 cm around the waist. Proper sizing and usage are imperative for optimal protection.

FAQ
How should these socks be cleaned?
Clean and iron as the label says. Handle with care and replace any item that shows signs of wear.
Can the socks be exposed to sunlight?
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight because the materials are light sensitive and can change color or age prematurely.
Do the socks meet sanctioning body standards?
Yes, they are the only FIA and SFI approved thermal regulating underlayers available.
Compare with the Alpinestars Race v4 Nomex Socks that feature flat seams, the Alpinestars ZX v4 Nomex Socks that add gradual compression for circulation, and the OMP First Nomex Socks that focus on moisture wicking in a mid-calf length.
