  • Material: PETG (weather-resistant, UV-stable)
  • Design: Two-piece (base disc and cup)
  • Mounting: Zip ties (2 short or 1 long through slots)
  • Compatibility: Briggs LO206 and Animal engines with stock air filter

This rain hood drops over the stock air filter on your LO206 or Animal engine to block rear tire spray, rain, and front tire splash from reaching the carb. Beginners will appreciate how it protects a 4-cycle kart engine during those first wet races while experienced drivers value the simple two-piece PETG build that holds up track after track.

Install by sliding the base disc onto the carb neck behind the OEM filter, reinstalling the filter, then pushing the cup over top and locking it down with zip ties. Aim the opening away from the rear tire for best deflection in sprint kart or dirt kart conditions.

💡 Important Considerations: Always change your engine oil after every wet session. Water that gets past even the best rain hood into the crankcase of your LO206 or 4-stroke kart engine contaminates the oil and speeds up wear so a quick swap keeps your Briggs running strong.

Whether you are new to karting or dialing in a competitive setup, this shield gives you the confidence to run in the rain 🌧️ without constant worry about carb issues or hidden engine damage.

Rain is one of the best training tools in karting. Practicing in wet conditions is excellent for learning true kart control — it drastically increases a driver’s potential and can help them improve up to 5-fold faster when they return to dry conditions.

⚡ Product Highlights

This rain hood protects the carburetor by blocking water from rear tire spray and rain. It fits Briggs LO206 and Animal engines that use the stock air filter assembly. Two piece design consists of a base disc and cup made from PETG plastic. The base disc slides onto the carb neck behind the OEM air filter. Cup secures with zip ties routed through slots in the side of the part. PETG construction resists UV exposure and holds up in wet weather conditions. Direct the opening away from the rear tire to reduce water entry. Oil should be changed after every wet session to limit crankcase contamination.
