LO206 250Hz Stand-Alone Clutch Slip Logger
Records 250 times per second.
This is a stand-alone data system built to measure clutch slip on an LO206, not guess at it from coil RPM. It reads the crank directly, then compares that to the clutch drum. That is the only way to see what the clutch is actually doing on corner exit.
Coil RPM is a dirty signal. It misses the small stuff. This logger is watching the crank cycle itself, and the drum as it turns. Six magnets get epoxied onto the drum, evenly spaced, so you get a clean hit every sixth of a revolution. That is how you see micro slip instead of a smoothed-out RPM line.
Kit includes the epoxy and a spacing template so the six magnets land even on the drum. Works on LO206 clutches. Need another template printed? Just ask.
What you can actually see at 250 samples a second:
Cleaned shoes vs dirty shoes.
New springs vs the set you have been running.
A fresh drum vs a worn one.
Whether the clutch is slipping too long off a slow corner, or locking early and dragging the engine down.
That is the kind of change you feel on the butt dyno and then lose in the data if you are only looking at ignition-coil RPM. This records fast enough to show it.
