Nor-Am STAR clutches are centrifugal drive clutches for karts, fitted with a #35 chain sprocket in tooth counts from 13T through 18T. They stay disengaged at idle and couple the engine to the chain as RPM rises, so the axle is not driven until the clutch engages.
