Axle bearing shields are thin covers, often aluminum, fitted over kart axle bearings to keep dirt and debris out of the race. They are offered in diameters that match common bearing ODs such as 1.590 in, 1.605 in, and 1.842 in for RBI or WMS big-bearing setups.
